Fall 2017 Trends to Try Now

As the temperature drops, and it slowly becomes leather jacket and beanie weather, it’s important to remember to spice up your fall wardrobe this season with some of our favorite fall 2017 trends!

THE WHITE BOOTIE

The white bootie is no longer sacred to the Spring and Summer months. It’s a power move now for fall. The pop of white contrasted by the autumn colors and the fall foliage will stand out in the best way possible.

Steve Madden ($129.95)

TEDDY BEAR

Cozy up this Fall with a wearable teddy bear. Its the chicest and the fuzziest new layer to add to your fall fashion lineup. The soft texture, and oversized feel of this jacket will have you wishing fall was year round.

(Kensie $129)

LEOPARD

Relaxed sophistication can be hard to come by, but with a pop of leopard (a classic always in our book) it will definitely kick your Fall wardrobe up a notch. This fall the animal print is found in unexpected ensembles like bombers (shown below), cape scarfs, and handbags.

(Joie $368)

LEISURE SUIT

Track suits are the new daywear this Fall. However, don’t even think about stepping foot inside a gym. The leisure suit is about the casual look and  feel, without having to give up the style aspect. It’s the perfect combo for running errands, a lunch date, or drinks with friends.

(Danielle Guizio $110)

FALL FLORALS

Florals for Spring isn’t exactly groundbreaking…but what about Fall? The use of darker colors and larger patterns celebrates the changing of colors that comes with the cooler fall months.

(Alice McCall $360)

Behind the Scenes: Cemil Ipekçi’s Show at The Turkish Embassy

~Our first behind the scenes segment features Cemil Ipekci’s designer runway show at the Turkish Embassy~

Ipekci was born in Istanbul and graduated from the Department of Design at the Royal Academy of Art in London, specifically from the pattern and design program. He explains his passion for designing, fabrics, and colors started from a very young age. Clothing became a way for him to represent characteristics and expression. After working as a stylist for many years, he founded his own fashion house while introducing his collections in the boutique “Tzagane.” He opened his second boutique “Tzagane” in Nice and has created Haute Couture as well. The Ottoman Empire and Anatolian Civilization inspire his designs, as he is a member of the Ottoman family. In 2002, Ipekci made the costume for Azra Akin, who was the winner of the Turkish Beauty contest. He has also designed diamonds for the Turkish brand “Damra.” Ipekci continues to have a successful career as a Turkish fashion designer.
